How does it work?

The GROHE Rapido SmartBox offers installers an almost infinite number of individual solutions with a single concealed body that is universally suitable for all prefabricated installation sets and supports up to three shower or bath functions as well as a range of other functions. Whether you choose a single-lever mixer, a thermostat for convenient temperature and water flow control, or GROHE SmartControl for maximum shower pleasure with various spray options - the GROHE Rapido SmartBox is the universal solution for a perfect shower experience. Even when space is at a premium, the concealed installation of the GROHE Rapido SmartBox and the ultra-flat design of the ready-mounted sets create the necessary space for showering enjoyment. The slim design not only makes for an elegant appearance, but also reduces the amount of cleaning required.

Next to a multitude of possible combinations, easy installation is one of the key features of GROHE Rapid SmartBox. Installers benefit from:

  • Less installation effort at lower costs – The GROHE Rapido SmartBox has three outlets, for which usually two rough-ins were necessary. In addition, the Rapido SmartBox makes adapters dispensable. Its ½ inch outlets can be connected to all standard tubes.

  • Inlets from below – Inlets to be connected from below allow a direct connection to the hot and cold-water supply. 90-degree fittings are eliminated.

  • Subsequent adjustment by 6 degrees is possible – Thanks to the long holes in the functional unit, the wall plates can be subsequently adjusted by up to 6 degrees and can be aligned perfectly with tiles and joints.

  • Fits into every wall – Due to an installation depth of only 75 mm, the GROHE RAPIDO SmartBox fits into any kind of wall, even particularly narrow ones.

  • Service stops for retrofit – During maintenance work, each of the building’s SmartControl fittings can be closed directly and separately. Service stops are optionally available for the GROHE Rapido SmartBox and can be easily retrofitted.

  • Standards compliant – The GROHE Rapido SmartBox can be retrofitted with a safety protection against backflow and meets the EU standard 1717 when installed with an integrated bath-fill and overflow unit. 

  • Easy job-site installation – Thanks to the handy brass outlets, the connection to the pipes can be installed with the help of a pipe wrench. A bench vice is no longer necessary
