GROHE X Podcast – Together For Sustainability
Episode #6: Florian Titze and Marcella Hansch conduct an exciting conversation on the question: "What is biodiversity and how important is it for our daily life?"
In this sixth episode Florian Titze/ World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Germany, shares insights to podcast host Marcella Hansch, CEO of the everwave foundation, on the question “what is biodiversity and how important is it for our daily life?"
According to the United Nations, one million of the world´s estimated 8 million species of plants and animals are threatened with extinction. Population sizes of mammal species have decreased by 68% on average. Very alarming facts, especially considering that biodiversity is a basic prerequisite for life on earth. But how can we counteract this drastic development?
To explore this question, podcast host Marcella Hansch, CEO of the everwave foundation, invited Florian Titze to join us for our sixth episode of Together for Sustainability. Florian is Senior Policy Advisor for International Biodiversity Policy at the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Germany, making him a true expert in this broad field. He gives a comprehensive insight into what biodiversity is, how it is affected by climate change and gives a first-hand account of last year's UN Biodiversity Conference in Montreal, Canada, in which he actively participated.
Learn about the importance of our "net of life" and how each and every one of us can contribute to the conservation of biodiversity.
